Made in Monmouth

Monmouth County is gearing up for their second “Made in Monmouth” event to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28 at Monmouth University in West Long Branch.

“This event gives our talented and creative residents the opportunity to show-off their merchandise that is made right here in Monmouth County,” said Freeholder Director Thomas A. Arnone. “With such a wide variety of vendors, offering everything from biscotti for dogs to custom cabinetry and fine jewelry, ‘Made in Monmouth’ is the perfect place to spend the day and shop locally.”
Confirmed vendors for “Made in Monmouth” include Bruce Perlmutter, who makes bowls and platters from fallen trees; CLA Woodworking LLC, who make hand-made furniture and custom cabinetry; Confections of a Rockstar, who were featured on Food Network last summer; Nan’s Naturals, offering handmade lotions, sugar scrubs and healing oils, and Matawan Stained Glass, who make custom-made stained glass windows and lamps.
“Vendor applications are still being accepted and anyone interested in being part of ‘Made in Monmouth’ should apply immediately; any remaining spots will go quickly,” said Arnone. “Whether you are interested in buying, selling or just taking a look, ‘Made in Monmouth’ should not be missed.” Made in Monmouth is organized by the Grow Monmouth team within the County’s Division of Economic Development. Grow Monmouth officials have met with hundreds of business, civic and government leaders in recent months to provide state-of-the-art information services. It has become a major public-private project to create and preserve jobs in Monmouth County.
Interested producers and manufacturers are encouraged to register online atwww.visitmonmouth.com or contact Economic Development at 732-431-7470 for more information.
The list of participating vendors will be published on the County website atwww.visitmonmouth.com.
