Unfortunately, not yet. I have placed calls to the Freehold Township Police Department and am now just waiting to be called back. Google Maps makes it look like the intersection is back open, but I am still waiting on confirmation. Hoping to have an update soon.

Thanks for the correction, Michelle. The Borough Calendar shows the meeting being at 7:30 - http://www.freeholdboro.org/calendar/ but I called Borough Hall to check, and they said the meeting is at 7 p.m.

ReplyHi Richard. Yes, the plans for the dorm show that the applicant would like to turn the lower level of the building on 32 Broad Street into a dormitory for 59 male students. More information on last night's hearing will be posted on our site later today.

ReplyDue to the many streets in Freehold, we have asked our readers to keep each other updated in this article: http://freehold.patch.com/articles/tell-us-who-has-power-in-freehold. JCP&L's outage map (http://outages.firstenergycorp.com/nj.html) also provides useful information and shows how many residents are still without power.

ReplyI understand you are all frustrated that the power is still out, I too am sitting in the dark and believe me it is really getting old. The purpose of this article was to show that while it may be slow, progress is being made in Freehold. I know that CentraState Hospital was made a priority to JCP&L and so that was taken care of first. The substations mentioned by Freehold Township are now a priority but there were others first. I have been traveling all over during the outages and have seen many line crews and local police working countless hours to get Freehold back up and running. As for Freehold Borough, my understanding is that crews are having a hard time getting there due to the many down trees. Areas of Township are right near major roadways like Rt. 9 so there is better accessibility there. I am communicating as best I can with those who may have answers in these conditions and will continue to post updates as quickly as I can. If you hear any news you can always email me at allison.mechanic@patch.com. Stay well and stay warm and thank you for posting on Freehold Patch!

Hi Marc,
My understanding is that the new development would be on the property near the jug-handle to get into the mall is.
