Tinton Falls Outlines 2013 Road Program

Program includes repaving, sidewalk, intersection and infrastructure work

The following is a letter from Tinton Falls Mayor Michael Skudera: A lot of road improvements have been scheduled for Tinton Falls! Public Works crews are busy working on repairing potholes from the requests received during the ‘See a Pothole?’ campaign. Requests for pothole repairs on Monmouth County roads that include: Asbury Avenue, Hance Avenue, Hope Road (between Tinton and Shafto), Newman Springs Road, Shafto Road, Shrewsbury Avenue, Swimming River Road, Sycamore Avenue, Tinton Avenue, and Wayside Road have been promptly forwarded to Monmouth County, which owns and maintains these roadways. Tinton Falls Forging Ahead With Road Program

Council introduced a $1.9 million bond ordinance for project

  The Tinton Falls Council has decided to move ahead with its 2012 road program. The council introduced a $1.9 million bond ordinance during Tuesday night's meeting. While the total cost of the project is $1.9 million, there are funds available that will help lower the amount that would be bonded for the project. The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) awarded the borough $225,000 for the Heritage Boulevard Phase II project. There is about $300,000 available from the 2010 road program bond ordinance, $100,000 from the 2012 budget line item and $25,000 available from the borough's Sidewalk Trust Account.
