How Do Tax Bills for Long Branch-Eatontown Area Residents Compare to State Averages?
Star Ledger report shows mixed results for local towns
The average New Jersey property taxes have risen slightly, 1.7 percent last year, but taxpayers in the Long Branch-Eatontown area are seeing mixed results on their bills in 2012. The average Long Branch, Eatontown and Tinton Falls taxpayers paid less in property taxes in 2012 as compared to the statewide average. However, the average total bill for Long Branch and Tinton Falls residents increased a bit more than the average bill statewide as compared to 2011. In contrast, West Long Branch taxpayers spent more on average than New Jersey taxpayers elsewhere but actually experienced a decline in their bills from 2011.
