Specialists will be on hand through Saturday, Jan. 19
FEMA rebuilding specialists will be stationed at the Eatontown Lowe’s, 118 Route 35, today through Saturday to offer advice to residents whose homes or businesses were damaged by Hurricane Sandy. This is the only location where the rebuilding specialists will be stationed in Monmouth County. The FEMA personnel will be on hand from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on all three days. Communities affected by recent storms to receive extra help
With the holiday season getting underway Lowe's has announced that they will be providing free meals to local residents affected by Hurricane Sandy. The company announced that 35 of its stores in New York and New Jersey will be providing more than 22 thousand complete Thanksgiving dinners. The dinners include a fresh roasted turkey or ham, mashed potatoes and gravy along with sweet corn and rolls. Table Talk Pies of Worcester, Mass. also donated more than 43 thousand pies for the meals. In addition to the 500 meals each store will distribute the company also said that all employees of the store will also get a free meal, "as a thank you for their dedication before, during and after the storm," a press release from the company said. An announcement from Lowe's Companies Inc. Lowe's Companies, Inc. announced today the company is closing 20 underperforming stores in 15 states. Ten locations closed at the end of business Sunday, October 16. The remaining 10 locations will close within approximately one month, following an inventory sell-through. In addition, after completing a comprehensive review of its pipeline of proposed new stores, the company announced it has discontinued a number of planned new store projects. Lowe's now expects to open 10 to 15 stores per year in North America from 2012 forward, compared to a prior assumption of approximately 30 stores per year.
