Long Branch Receives $600,000 for Boardwalk Repairs
Green Acres will fund boardwalk repairs
Long Branch has received $600,000 from Green Acres to help repair a large section of its boardwalk. Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Bob Martin announced the funding this week and said they are part of $123 million in approved Green Acres open space acquisition and recreational development projects in the state. “The Christie Administration is committed to protecting New Jersey’s open spaces, which are so vital to the protection of natural resources and enhancement of our quality of life in the Garden State,” Martin said. “The Green Acres Program continues to play a vital role in sustaining our quality of life in New Jersey.
