Upcoming snowstorm causes borough to bring back service
The Eatontown Department of Public Works (DPW) has chosen to lift its suspension of brush and leaf pickup on Wednesday. A message on the borough's web site states that Friday's impending snowstorm is the reason for resuming pickup. There is a 70 percent chance of snow in the Eatontown area on Friday, according to the National Weather Service. The amount of snowfall accumulation has not yet been predicted. Brush and leaf pickup was originally scheduled to be suspended from Jan. 1 through Jan. 31. The borough has continued to pick up Christmas trees during this period. Compost and mulch deliveries will also be suspended until March 4, 2013. Residents who have questions should contact Liz at 732-389-7651.
