A Hurricane Sandy victim from Sea Bright now faces up to five years in prison after being arrested and charged Wednesday with defrauding the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of more than $12,000 in Transitional Shelter Assistance (TSA) grant money, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni announced. 10 Arrested, 140 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Drug Raids
An Eatontown man has been arrested and charged as part of a two month-long investigation by a number of local law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrests of 10 people, plus the seizure of cars, cash and about 140 pounds of marijuana, authorities said. Joseph T. Irons II, 30, of 434 Jefferson Street, Eatontown was charged with possession with intent to distribute over 25 pounds of marijuana and possession of marijuana. Superior Court Judge Francis Hodgson set bail for Irons at $250,000 cash. A Long Branch man has been charged with allegedly stealing from a parked car in Monmouth Beach on Friday. Daniel Johnson, 20, of Cindy Way, allegedly entered an unoccupied Mercedes Benz parked on Seaview Avenue in Monmouth Beach and took "several dollars in change," according to court documents. Johnson also allegedly attempted to enter other vehicles parked in the Wharfside Manor Condominiums complex in Monmouth Beach. Police say Johnson wiped away condensation from several of the vehicles' windows and "attempted to operate the door handles to gain entry to the vehicles." Woman also charged with endangering welfare of child
A Long Branch woman has been charged with sexually assaulting an Oceanport child. Rachel Morrison, 26, of Warburton Place, allegedly sexually assaulted the minor, whose name, age and relationship to Morrison are not being released, on April 29. Morrison was arrested on April 30 is facing two charges of sexual assault for commiting "an act of sexual penetration" and "touching" the victim, according to court documents. Morrison is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She was lodged in Monmouth County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail. Morrison's initial court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8.

A call to police station about a suspicious person in the neighborhood led to an investigation that resulted in the arrest of two people suspected of several burglaries in the Tinton Falls and Middletown area. Middletown Police arrested Raymond Fisher, 34, from Courtland Street in Neptune and Catherine Archer, age 51, from Asbury Avenue in Asbury Park and charged them with multiple offenses related to burglary on Thursday. Man charged with robberies of other businesses
Police have arrested a Long Branch man and charged him with the armed robbery of Bell Liquors. Darius Williams, 24, of Witmer Place, was arrested on Tuesday after an investigation by the Long Branch Police. He was subsequently charged with three other armed robberies in other towns. Long Branch Public Safety Director Jason Roebuck said Williams robbed Bell Liquors, 706 Broadway, Long Branch on April 22nd at 8:55 p.m. "The suspect showed a small handgun and escaped the area in a vehicle after relieving the store owners of a 12 pack of Yuengling Lager and a sum of money from the register," Roebuck said in a release. Broadway liquor store was robbed on Monday night
Bell Liquors was robbed at gunpoint on Monday night, Long Branch Director of Public Safety Jason Roebuck confirmed today. Roebuck said no one was injured during the robbery of the liquor store, located at 706 Broadway, Long Branch. A description of the robber was not immediately available, nor was the amount of money stolen from the store. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Monday, while police were involved in a standoff with a barricaded man on Brighton Avenue.
