Eatontown Mayor Presents New County DPW Yard Plan For Fort Monmouth

Residents still unhappy with plans

  Eatontown residents were presented with revised plans for a county department of public works (DPW) yard on the borough's parcel of Fort Monmouth during Wednesday night's council meeting, but the public's opinion of the project has remained unchanged. The county initially unveiled the plans during a September Eatontown Council meeting, and was met with unsatisfaction from the public and mayor and council. The plan involves the installation of a fueling station, communications tower and salt and sand storage building at the old motor pool at For Monmouth. There appears to be nothing the residents can do as the die has been cast and FMERA has made their decision. A shame that the Mayor knew the facts 18 months ago and never alerted the homeowners.
