Farmers Market Application Withdrawn
Planning board had scrutinized cleanliness of other Farmers Markets in the past
For the past few months, the West Long Branch Planning Board has deliberated on bringing in a Farmers Market grocery store to the Consumer Square Shopping Center on Route 36, where a Barnes and Noble bookstore was previously located. However, after the board's last meeting where members expressed their displeasure with the cleanliness of the Freehold location of the Farmers Market, the applicants decided on Tuesday evening to withdraw their entire application, rather than have it heard again. Board President Richard Cooper made this announcement at the beginning of the meeting.
