Second Bomb Threat in Two Weeks Evacuates Consumer Centre in West Long Branch
Bomb threat was made Feb. 10 as well
A second bomb threat has been made at the Consumer Centre in West Long Branch on Sunday afternoon, exactly one week after one was made at the same location. At approximately 1:30 p.m., a man reportedly called 911 and said there was a bomb in Buy Buy Baby, according to West Long Branch Police Chief Lawrence Mihlon. The shopping center located at 310 Highway 36 has been evacuated while the threat is investigated by the West Long Branch Police, Fire and EMS. Bomb dogs were also requested to check the area. Police are asking people to avoid the area until crews are finished checking the area.
