This week will mark the beginning of one controversial planning board hearing and the continuance and possible completion of another.

The new hearing is the proposal by TDB to build 11 condominium units in Long Branch's Beachfront North redevelopment zone. This plan has been met with a lot of protest by the neighbors of the proposed units.

The Long Branch Planning Board will hear the plans during its Tuesday, Dec. 17 meeting at 7 p.m.

The continued hearing the proposal to build a Wawa and Chick-Fil-A on the corner of Wyckoff Road and Route 35 in Eatontown.

This is another project that has been met with a lot of criticism from the neighbors of the proposed convenience store and restaurant.

That application will be heard on Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

We'll be at both to let you know what actions the boards take, if any.
