Veterans Day, Long Branch Beach Replenishment Update

Monmouth University will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Monday morning.

There will be Veterans Day celebrations across the state on Nov. 11 as honor those who have served in the United States military.

There will be some local celebrations as well, including one at Monmouth University at 9 a.m. Univesity President Paul R. Brown will dedicate Monmouth University’s 9/11 Veterans Memorial during a ceremony that will be followed by the National Remembrance Day Roll Call, a synchronized reading of the names of the service members killed in the line of duty since September 11, 2001.

Congressman Frank Pallone will provide an update on the Long Branch beach replenishment project on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

We'll be there for his announcement and will bring you the latest as soon as we have it.

There's also a Long Branch Council meeting on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. and a Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority meeting on Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.
