By Christopher Sheldon

Martin Luther King Day will be observed today, Jan. 20, in the Long Branch-Eatontown area.

There will be a ceremony at Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park in Long Branch on Monday morning, and we'll be there to cover it. Click here to read more about it.

There will also be a Long Branch Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting this Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m.

The Eatontown Council will also be meeting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The agenda has not yet been posted online, but there's a good chance that Howard Commons will be part of the discussion.

We'll be at the meeting, as always, to give you the latest news.

Our readers can also expect stories about Lake Takanassee and parking meters in Long Branch later this week.
