There has been an outpouring of community for support for the victims of the West End fire on Monday.
Several fundraisers have been set up to aid those who were displaced by the fire as community members, businesses and organizations are rallying around them.
The Long Branch School District is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday to benefit three of its employees whose homes were destroyed by the fire.
The fundraiser will be held at Jack's Goal Line Stand on Brighton Avenue from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will benefit Derek Tranchina, James Falco, and Adrian Castro. For $20, guests can enjoy a fun time at the popular West End Bar and eat some delicious food.
All money collected at the door will go to the staff members.
The Windmill in West End and North Long Branch will be donating 50 percent of its proceeds from Monday night to the victims. Any sales made between 5 and 8 p.m. on Feb. 20 will be donated.
The West End Fire Relief Fund has also set up a fundraiser for the end of the month.
The newly-created group posted the following message on its Facebook page:
"On Feb. 29, we will be holding (the fundraiser) in the Ocean Place Hotel from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets are $35 each. We'll be selling them at various locations in West End which we will announce by the end of the week and a PayPal account is in the works. The food will be catered by local chefs, wine tasting, raffles and more. Thank you guys so much for your support! If you have any questions contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org."
