Long Branch Chef Serves Up Fun and Food For Ronald McDonald House Families

Long Branch chef Pasquale Sciarappa gave the families staying at the local Ronald McDonald House a special evening when he dropped by and cooked up a four-course dinner on July 21

Lynne Siedentop, Director of Development for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Branch and New Brunswick was the one who reached out to Sciarappa and said she was glad he was accepted.

“The delicious aromas of fresh basil and authentic, homemade tomato sauce quickly filled the house," Sciarappa said. "The dinner started with an aromatic bruschetta, followed by linguini with shrimp sauce, and chicken with portabella mushrooms and capers paired with broccoli salad. The evening ended with homemade dessert of Tiramisu that was out of this world.”

Sciarappa, who now resides in Long Branch, has been cooking all his life. He was taught how to cook traditional Italian recipes from his parents in Orsara di Puglia, Italy, before making his way to America.

He now shares his love for cooking with the world through his YouTube cooking show and website Orsara Recipes.
