Seven Presidents Park and Beach Open For Summer

The park was damaged by Hurricane Sandy in the fall.

Hurricane Sandy could not prevent the Monmouth County Parks System from having the Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park open for the 2013 summer season.

The park's boardwalk, playground and skatepark, which was filled with sand and water after the hurricane, are all open and ready for summer visitors.

One of the only losses was the park's skating rink which will not be repaired or brought back in the future.

The park also features a snack bar, sheltered eating areas, a volleyball area outdoor shower and changing areas and designated areas for surfing.

Although lifeguards are currently only on duty on weekends, the beaches will be guarded daily starting Saturday, June 15.
