Local children can begin the 2012 fishing season on Saturday in Long Branch.
The 2012 Long Branch Youth Fishing Derby will begin Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon at Lake Takanassee. Derby registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

Children ages 15 and under can participate in the derby which will a morning of fishing, food and prizes.
The deby is sponsored by Long Branch PBA Local No. 10.
