West Long Branch Boy Qualifies for National GeoBee State Competition

The Frank Antonides student is one of 100 children statewide to qualify

Seventh grader Peter Livingston, of West Long Branch, qualified to represent Frank Antonides School in the state level of the National Geographic Bee this month.

Getting to the National GeoBee is no easy feat. Students first competed at the school level against their classmates, answering questions like, "Which of the following cities has the least average annual rainfall? Sydney, Belize City or Kabul?"

Then the local champions had to take a standardized test to qualify for the state competition. Only the top 100 scores were accepted.
