Tinton Falls Foundation Races Towards Excellence, Hosts 6th Annual 5K

The Tinton Falls Foundation for Excellence in Education will host its Sixth Annual 5K Race on Sunday, Oct. 30.

Looking for a good excuse to buy a new pair of running sneakers? The has provided the perfect venue: its Sixth Annual 5K Race slated for Sunday, Oct. 30.

The 5K Walk/Run will benefit the foundation, which is a tax deductible, non-profit organization established to encourage timely, innovative projects that enrich the educational process by providing a supplemental source of funding to teachers, students and the community of the .

The fundraiser kicks off at at 9: a.m. for the Kids Race (8 and under) and 10 a.m. for the 5K Walk/Run. The $20 adult registration fee ($25 after Oct. 15) gets you a long-sleeved race t-shirt and in the running for numerous trophies and awards as well as post-race refreshments provided by participating sponsors.

The TFFEE is offering many levels of sponsorship for supporters to make donations to the event and anticipates over 500 participants on race day.

The Foundation's success will be measured by the generosity and support of the community and business leaders. The TFFEE recognizes the value of our educational system and realizes that due to the realities of budget cuts and reduced state aid, excellence needs to be supplemented through private funding. The TFFEE is committed to enhancing the educational experience for each and every student in the Tinton Falls school district.
