State Aid Increased for Long Branch, Eatontown, Monmouth Regional Schools

Shore Regional, Tinton Falls and West Long Branch state aid remains flat

State aid has been increased for the Long Branch, Eatontown, Monmouth Regional school district for the 2014 fiscal years, Governor Chris Christie announced today.

Stated aid for the West Long Branch, Tinton Falls and Shore Regional school districts will remain flat.

The Long Branch School District saw the biggest increase of the schools in the Long Branch-Eatontown area with a $295,226 increase for a total state aid figure of $42,090,461.

The Eatontown School District saw the second largest increase of area schools with a $59,646 increase for a total state aid figure of $3,803,699.

Monmouth Regional's state aid was increased $46,717 for a total of $3,337,306.

The following school districts saw 0 percent increases in their state aid for the 2014 fiscal year:

Shore Regional High School: $426,679

Tinton Falls School District: $3,529,233

West Long Branch School District: $265,495

The $97.3 million increase in statewide education aid  is the third year in a row of increases in education funding, a release from Christie states. On average, districts across the state will receive an increase of $75 per pupil.
