The Shore Regional and West Long Branch School District calendars have been revised because of the days lost to Hurricane Sandy.
Both schools were closed for eight days because of the October storm and the schedules have been adjusted accordingly.
Graduation remains on track for June 25 for West Long Branch and June 28 for Shore Regional, as originally scheduled.
However, both schools will now be open on Martin Luther King Day, Jan. 21, and Presidents' Day, Feb. 18.
There are two built-in snow days on both school calendars, as the state mandates 180 instructional school days. Both schools are now scheduled for 182 instructional days.
For Shore Regional, if no snow days are used, school will be closed on Friday, May 24. If three snow day are used, June 28 becomes a school day, and on the fourth snow day, March 29 becomes a school day. March 29 is Good Friday and June 28 is a staff day.
If no snow days are used for West Long Branch, schools will be closed on May 23 and May 24. If one snow day is used, school will only be closed on May 24.
If three snow days are used, April 2 becomes a school day, and at four days, April 1 will become a school day. April 1-2 are the last days of Spring Break for students.
