Shore Regional BOE Race Uncontested This Year

Three incumbents are running for three seats on the Shore Regional Board of Education

There will not be any changes to the Shore Regional Board of Education this year as three incumbents are running for three open seats.

Current BOE Vice President Russell Olivadotti, Ronald O'Neill, both of West Long Branch, and Ted Szczurek, of Oceanport, will be running to hold their seats for additional three-year terms.

The board currently consists of Olivadotti, O'Neill, Szczurek, BOE President Frank J. Pingitore, of Oceanport, Dr. Anthony Moro, of Monmouth Beach, Diane Merla, of West Long Branch, Nancy DeScenza, of Sea Bright, Paul Rolleri, of Oceanport, Beth Garrigal, of West Long Branch, and David Baker, of Monmouth Beach.

There must be at least one board member from each of Shore Regional's four sending districts; West Long Branch, Monmouth Beach, Sea Bright and Oceanport.

The 2011-12 school budget has not yet been introduced to the public, but will be up for a public vote on April 27, as well.

The next Shore Regional BOE meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 24 at the Russell T. Olivadotti Information Center at 7 p.m.
