Seven Candidates Running For Three Spots on Long Branch Board of Education

Three incumbents are running for reelection

The race for three seats on the Long Branch Board of Education (BOE) will be contested this November.

Incumbents Tara Beams, Michele Critelli and Avery Grant will face competition from four new candidates.

Donald C. Covin, the Long Branch High School basketball team's head coach, Rose A. Joyce, Mary Ann Lumia and George F. Lynch, Jr. are also running this year.

Beams is currently serving as the president of the Long Branch BOE and Grant and Critelli are long-time members.

Candidates who wished to run for spots on their school's board of education had to file by Tuesday at 4 p.m.
