Project Eat a Success for Long Branch Schools

The Long Branch School District collected more than 7,000 food items this year in its annual "Prjoect Eat" drive.

The Long Branch School District recently collected more than 7,000 items for three local food pantries as part of the Alternative Academy's annual food drive for "Project Eat.''

Five students from the Alternative Academy helped Project East chairperson Nancy Bale collect all of the items on May 19. The food was distributed to three food pantries, First Baptist Church on Bath Avenue, St. Brigid's Food Pantry on Broadway, and Chris the King Pantry on Exchange Place.

The five students who assisted in the collection and distribution of the items were Bryan Berry, Joan Manuel Cisneros, David Colbert, Christopher Murrell, and John Tomlinson.
