Pride n' Hustle camp at Monmouth Regional Brings out the Magic of Baseball

Session one of the annual camp ended on Friday and campers were recognized for their achievements throughout the week in an awards ceremony.

The Steve Miller Band song "Abracadabra" blared over the sound system at Monmouth Regional's baseball fields on Friday as the first session of the Pride n' Hustle camp came to a close, ending the week-long spell cast on all involved.

Founded and run by Falcons baseball coaches Joey Pingitore and Ted Jarmusz, the two-week program provides individual and specialized small group instruction of the fundamentals of baseball. The camp is an annual tradition for area baseball enthusiasts and was started in 1999.

"This is the best camp around," said Susan Guarino of Tinton Falls, whose 16-year-old son has been comig to the camp since he was five. "It's motivational and inspirational."
