Monmouth University Awarded $50,000 for Student Scholarships

OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River makes donation to university

 

The OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River has awarded Monmouth University with a $50,000 grant for student scholarships.

The grant provides scholarships for tuition, fees and books for full-time freshmen who graduated from Monmouth and Ocean County high schools.  Recipients will each receive $2,500 scholarships.

“Thank you to the OceanFirst Foundation for its generous support of Monmouth University and higher education," Monmouth University President Paul Gaffney said in a release. "The scholarships help many exceptional students from the local area to achieve their dream of a college education.”

This is the second year Monmouth University has participated in the scholarship program and has received a $50,000 grant.
