Monmouth Regional Jazz Band Plays Fort Ceremony

The official signing of an agreement between the Army and redevelopers of Fort Monmouth was held at Gibbs Hall.

Political ceremonies can be a little stuffy, are we right? So thanks to the Monmouth Regional Jazz Band, who lightened things up a bit on Wednesday at Gibbs Hall, with several selections, including "Night and Day" sung by senior Theresa Hauge of Tinton Falls.

The band played for elected officials, Army representatives and fort redevelopers at the former officer's club where redevelopers signed an agreement with the Army to transfer portions of the fort to be redeveloped.

The band, led by Gerald Romano, also played the Army song to honor those who served in the Army.
