Monmouth Hosting Bone Marrow Drive For Rutgers Student

Drive scheduled for March 8 at Monmouth Student Center

 

Monmouth University is rallying to support a Rutgers student who is in need of a bone marrow transplant.

The Monmouth University International Club and International Students and Faculty Services will be sponsoring a bone marrow drive tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. outside of the Student Center.

The drive will be held for a 27-year-old international Indian student from Rutgers who was diagnosed with leukemia on January 13.

According to a release from the university, the student has a 1-in-10,000 chance of a match with other South Asians.
