Memorial School Students Beautify School

The Eatontown Community Service Alliance was hard at work this weekend.

By Christopher Sheldon

The members of the Memorial School Community Service Alliance gave up their weekend plans to help make their school a little more beautiful.

The Eatontown school children spent Oct. 5 doing community service projects along with their parents.

They worked to together to paint the courtyard's shed, stain the picnic tables, spread mulch, and prepare the garden for winter.

The Memorial School Community Service Alliance organizes community service projects throughout the year.

They meets weekly after school to use the Memorial School greenhouse, tend to the garden and keep the courtyard area clean. The courtyard area is frequently used by the students as an outdoor classroom and the greenhouse acts as educational tool for seventh and eighth grade students.
