Long Branch High School Student Died Off Campus Sunday

Long Branch School District Superintendent Michael Salvatore announced on Monday that a Long Branch High School student died off campus in a "tragic event" on Sunday.
The student's name and age were not released by Salvatore in a letter to parents.
"We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the family," Salvatore said in the letter. "Many children have been affected by this news. We encourage you to be especially sensitive and prepared to offer support to your child during this time."
The details of how the student died have not been released by the school.
