Approaching Storm Causes Monmouth University to Cancel Friday Afternoon Classes

School will be closed Saturday as well

The following message was posted on the Monmouth University website on Friday:

Forecasts over the last 18 hours have gradually increased snow predictions in central New Jersey especially later in the day Friday. Forecasters are confident that travel will be difficult west and north of our area as daylight ends. Travelers should stay tuned to weather broadcasts and modify plans accordingly.

MU will cancel classes at 2:30 p.m. Friday and all day Saturday. Residence halls and the Magill Commons dining hall will remain open through the weekend.

The campus will close Friday at 2:30 p.m. and stay closed all day Saturday except for designated employees.
