Insanity . . . Why is everyone so quiet!!!

Does everyone realize that the biggest "beach repenishment" project ever undertaken by the Army Corp of Engineers (ACOE) is occuring on our shoreline?  These projects have been awarded and millions, if not billions, of cubic yards of sand will be placed from the base of Sandy Hook all the way to Manasquan inlet.  The ACOE is replenishing beaches that never existed.  Why?  Because "free" money is now available from FEMA because of Sandy?  Why do all the jetty's need to be covered from Takanasee to Asbury Park? There were never beaches there to begin with, what are they replenishing?  How does the public at large benefit?  Beach access and parking in that stretch is extremely limited and exactly what and who are the taxpayers protecting.
Why has sand been continually dumped behind the Admiralty and Shore Condominiums in Monmouth Beach?  When both those complexes were built there were no beaches behind them.  Why are the taxpayers being asked to protect them now?
Watching marine habitat and life being killed for a extremely short sighted shore protection plan is nauseating.  Not to mention there was an increase in drownings and injuries as a result of the bad shore break that will exist as a result of beach replenishment.  Has everyone enjoyed being able to wade out in knee deep water, have kids safely play in tide pools and on sand bars?  All gone as a result of this ACOE project.
I have inquired to both Congressman Frank Pallone and Chris Smith' offices asking for the Cost Benefit Analysis and have yet to receive a response or even an indication where I might be able to find it.
This beach replenishment project is "insane" and our leaders have not presented any long term solution to "Climate Change" and "Rising Sea Levels" they subcribe to.
Our country is $17 TRILLION in debt and yet our leaders keep spending as we keep standing around and wondering why our country is a financial train wreck.
Wake up folks, our landscape is changing dramatically and your tax dollars are supporting it.  And after we have a few winter storms and most of the sand will have eroded, then what?  More beach replenishment costing millions of dollars?  Marine life killed and recreational activities severely impacted because . . .
