Tinton Falls Looks To Bond Nearly $700,000 for Equipment Purchases

Council introduces bond ordinance for equipment

Tinton Falls officials are looking to bond nearly $700,000 to purchase equipment and vehicles for the borough.

The Tinton Falls Council introduced an ordinance that would bond $643,000 for a $677,000 equipment purchase.

The purchases would include a street sweep, garbage truck, pick-up trucks a utility vehicle and a salt brine application system. Other purchases include a remote area lighting system, emergency vehicle lighting, an automated attendance system, radar units and asphalt repair equipment.

The cost of the street sweeper will be split between the Tinton Falls Council and the Eatontown Council, which will enter into a shared services agreement for the equipment.
