The Tinton Falls Council is expected to pass a resolution next week that will allow the borough to share its municipal court with Eatontown and Monmouth Beach.

The shared services agreement resolution will be voted on during the Tuesday, Aug. 6 Tinton Falls Council meeting at 6 p.m.

Tinton Falls Mayor Michael Skudera said the agreement will allow the three towns to share Tinton Falls' courtroom, court offices, administrative employees, equipment and supplies. Skudera said the move could add $150,000 in revenue to the borough each year.

“Borough Administrator Gerry Turning and I have been actively working to promoting the use of the Tinton Falls courthouse” Skudera said in a release. “Gerry Turning’s hard work goes well beyond saving money; this agreement actually generates positive revenue for Tinton Falls”.

The Tinton Falls courtroom has been used by the Monmouth County Superior Court and has hosted state, county, and local events.

Eatontown and Monmouth Beach already share court services through an agreement approved in 2012.
