Tinton Falls Hopes To Complete West Park Avenue Improvements

Borough will go out to bid to replace sewer lines

After sitting unfinished for a long period of time, the Tinton Falls Council is now looking to finish road work on West Park Avenue.

Borough Administrator Gerald Turning said the company originally hired to install sewer lines for the road did not do so properly.

The council is now looking to go out to bid to hire a company to install 1,100 feet of sewer line on West Park Avenue. Turning said the borough would complete the remaining 800 feet.

Turning explained that one of the problems is that businesses along the road, including Wawa, would like to tie into the sewer system, but cannot.

He said the project will cost $300,000 for the borough and he recommended that the borough should go out to bid for the project soon.

The council agreed with Turning and a bond ordinance should be introduced at the next meeting on April 3.
