Tinton Falls Encouraging Residents to Sign Up For Code Red Alerts

Borough will hold signup program Saturday

The following is a message from Tinton Falls Mayor Michael Skudera:

Please join me this Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m. at the Tinton Falls Borough Hall as we kick off the 90 in 9 program.

Our goal is to sign up 90% of the residents and businesses in Tinton Falls to the Code Red Emergency Notification System in just 9 days. Currently about 75% of the borough receives these alerts.

Volunteers will be given informational packets containing all the materials needed, including area maps and signup sheets.

The 90 in 9 program will start on April 6th and conclude on April 14th, which allows 4 weekend days to accommodate busy schedules. If you can volunteer an hour or even a half-day over the course of the program, your time is greatly appreciated.

Members of my Administration, the Borough Council, the Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will be volunteering their time going door-to-door.

If you are able to attend this Saturday, please send an email to oem@tintonfalls.com or leave a message at 732-542-3400 x555

Hope to see you on Saturday!
