Tinton Falls DPW Implements 24-Hour Drop Off for Brush, Bulk and Trash

Following Irene's fury, the borough has increased hours to help residents clean up after the storm.

A letter from the Tinton Falls Department of Public Works:

Beginning Sept. 2, 24-hour drop off of bulk, brush and extra garbage is available at the Department of Public Works! This extra availability is an added service as a result of hurricane Irene's fury.

Please separate normal household refuse from larger bulk items like furniture, carpeting, etc. and place in appropriately marked containers. Separating these items saves taxpayer dollars as disposal costs are much greater for bulk materials.

Brush and branches after hours may be placed loose on the ground in the marked area.

Please utilize the attended recycling drop-off area between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Saturday and weekdays.

Public works is working hard to remove branches from our roadways with extra crews each day. Please be reminded that brush and branches are to be placed at the edge of the street on your property and never in the street! DPW will return to its normal zone schedule after the storm debris is cleared from our streets.

Residents may also schedule bulk collection by calling Public Works at 732.542.3400  X4. Bulk collection will be on Sept. 9 due to the Labor Day holiday. Extra crews will be out anticipating heavier than normal volume of this material.

Thank you,

Gary R Gebele

Director of Public Works
