Tinton Falls Borough Council Adopts $21.68 Million Budget for 2011

The council added an amendment that moved monies around but did not change amount of budget introduced in March.

The Tinton Falls Borough Council adopted the $21.68 million 2011 municipal budget at its June 21 meeting.

The public hearing had been carried from the May 17 meeting to allow council to add an amendment onto the original budget introduced in March.

According to the borough's chief financial officer, Stephen Pfeffer, there are three sections to the amendment:

  • Moved money to fund the pending litigation stemming from the Seabrook Village tax appeal;
  • Moved money to help finance the borough's road program;
  • Added two grants the borough received: Clean Communities Grant $33,696.15 and Recycling Tonnage Grant $31,642.57.

Pfeffer said that none of the above affected total budget figures.
