Mayor to Present Budget at Tuesday's Council Meeting

Council will also support moving school elections to November

mayor will present the 2012 budget and discuss contributing factors at the borough council's regular meeting on Tuesday night.

Mayor Michael Skudera' presentation will include:

  • Improvements to borough services
  • Cost reductions and savings
  • Roads and infrastructure repairs
  • Innovation and technology

Also on the meeting's agenda is a resolution authorizing the move of the district's annual school board elections from April to November at both the and levels.

Skudera told Patch in an e-mail that the borough's recent move of its municipal elections to November resulted in cost savings and increased voter turnout and he felt school board elections would see similar benefits if moved.

The Tinton Falls Board of Education will discuss moving elections at its Feb. 13 meeting.
