Latest Properties For Sale At Fort Monmouth Could Yield Nearly 300 New Homes For Tinton Falls

Both properties are located in Charles Wood Area

Close to 300 new homes could be built in Tinton Falls once developers are chosen to purchase two tracts of land in the borough's section of Fort Monmouth.

The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) recently issued requests for offers to purchase (RFOTP) two properties located in the Charles Wood Area of Fort Monmouth.

Parcel C is 39-acre site slated for 239 homes and 107,000 square feet of retail and commercial space. The property is a former residential area that has been demolished and is bordered by Tinton Avenue, Pearl Harbor Road and Corregidor Road. It contains the former Post Chapel, which would be demolished by the purchaser.

Parcel C1 is a 12-acre site slated for 49 homes. The property is bordered by Laboratory Road and Hemphill Road and contains three buildings that would demolished by the purchaser.

The housing on both lots would contain a mixture of detached homes, townhomes and apartments. Twenty percent of the homes must be set developed for affordable housing, according to the RFOTPs.

Offers for the properties are due by June 10, according to FMERA.
