I Live in Monmouth County. What District Am I In?

Monmouth County spans four voting districts. Find out where your town falls.

If you think you know who your state representatives are, you may be suprised when you get to the polls this month.

That's because the boundaries of these districts were redrawn this year based on the federal government's census last year. A number of citizens will find that, when these new boundaries go into effect on Nov. 8, their towns belong to a new district.

The new districts are important to note when you go to cast your vote for the people who will represent you at the state level. The New Jersey Legislature (that's our state senators and assembly representatives) is made up of 40 voting districts. These districts each elect one senator and two assemblymen to the joint legislature. Here is the layout of the new districts, which cover Monmouth County.

I will drive through the area tomorrow to see if I spot anything! Try googling volunteer searchRead More groups for missing dogs. There are a few in the NJ area. Also ask the local SPCA and Humane Society to see if they can lend you humane traps. Try patrolling the area with food of a strong odor...raw meat, steak, etc. Search in tiny groups and split up to avoid scaring him away, and always bring food and a leash in case you have to lure him over and then leash him. Try also sitting in the area last spotted quietly to see if he approaches you. Bring food so he smells it. Just a few things I have learned while doing some dog searches. Keep sharing and put up posters locally...it helps!
