Fort Monmouth Redevelopment Authority Will Share Its Progress at Monthly Public Meeting

The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA), the group in charge of the redevelopment of the fort, will meet on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in air-conditioned luxury at the Tinton Falls Municipal Complex on Tinton Avenue. FMERA Vice Chairman and Chair of the Real Estate Committee, Michael Pane, will run the meeting.

If you make it out to spend your evening in one of the comfy audience seats, this is some of what you can expect to hear discussed:

  • Update on meetings with the Matrix Design Group, who is designing the electronic master plan of the fort, to be used for negotiations with the Army and for conveyance of the property.
  • Updates on fort security and fire planning for post closure.
  • Update on the commissary.
  • A report from the Historical Staff Advisiory Committee.

The board will also consider approval of new rules for the sale of properties at the fort.

There will also be an executive session of pending real estate and contract negotiations with the Army. This portion of the meeting is closed to the public.
