Fort Monmouth Marina Still on the Market

Proposals for the Oceanport property are due to FMERA by Jan. 27.

The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) is still looking for buyers for the Oceanport marina at Fort Monmouth.

Proposals for the property were due to FMERA by today, Jan. 27.

FMERA could begin negotiations with a developer for the property later this year.

The property was originally leased to Oceanport, but the borough was unsuccessful its attempts to find a concessionaire for the property.

The marina is a 3.9-acre parcel located at Oceanport and Riverside Avenues in Oceanport. The property consists of a 71-slip marina and boat launch ramp on Oceanport Creek, a 2,600-square-foot boat house, two administrative buildings and off-street parking.

The reuse plan for the site states that it must maintain its use as a marina but can also have a restaurant.
