Public Meeting for Eatontown Residents to discuss the impending close of Fort Monmouth

The residents of Eatontown are invited to the first of planned periodic meetings that deal with the impending closing of Fort Monmouth. The first meeting in this series will be held in the Eatontown Municipal Building’s second floor council chambers. Eatontown Mayor Gerry Tarantolo, a member of the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority, will review the current plan that has been developed for the reuse of Fort Monmouth, the makeup of the new authority charged with implementing the plan and provide some insight on the impact of the closing to the area and Eatontown’s economy. The meeting will begin promptly at 7pm and last approximately two hours. Questions from the public will be encouraged.
