Eatontown Planning Board Lacks Quorum; Hearings Pushed to July 11

The June 27 Eatontown Planning Board meeting did not have enough members in attendance to vote on any pending applications.

Those with projects on the agenda for the June 27 planning board meeting in Eatontown will have to wait until the next meeting in July to have their applications heard as the board lacked a quorum Monday night.

According to Katherine Fenton-Newman, acting secretary for the planning board, not enough members attended the regular meeting to have a quorum for a vote. The board requires a majority of members to be in attendance to vote on matters.

One of items on the agenda was an , 275 Industrial Way West, to install a 30-foot by 110-foot solar canopy to the rear of the property on the easterly side and install a solar carport structure, 19-feet by 300-feet in size, over a portion of the easterly parking lot to create an alternate energy source.

Also on the agenda was an application for Eatontown Car Wash, a car wash and detailing facility.

The planning board will meet on July 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the at 47 Broad St., Eatontown.
