Eatontown Mayor To Update Residents on Fort Monmouth Redevelopment on Tuesday

Meeting will be held Sept. 13, 7 p.m. at borough hall.

The redevelopment of Fort Monmouth is a long, complicated and often convoluted process.  To help residents understand the impact of Fort Monmouth’s closure to Eatontown and the surrounding communities, Eatontown's Mayor Gerald Tarantolo will hold a public meeting on Sept. 13 to talk about the redevelopment process.

As a board member of the , the local redevelopment authority, Tarantolo is closely acquainted with progress that has been made, as well as the obstacles that redevelopers face.

At this, his third update, Mayor Tarantolo will specifically address the business plan for the soon to be civilian property, as well as the process by which it will be disposed.

All members of the public are invited to attend and the mayor will answer audience questions. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Council Room of Borough Hall on Broad Street.
