Two Seats up for Grabs on Eatontown Borough Council

The two Republican councilmen are up against two Democratic challengers in the Nov. 8 election.

Al Baginsky (D)

  •  Eatontown resident for 37 years with wife Donna.
  •  Information Technology Manager Team Lead, Fort Monmouth, 8 years.
  •  Appointed to Zoning Board of Adjustment - Current member.
  •  Selected as Member of the Fort Monmouth Reuse AdHoc Committee.
  •  Appointed to Shade Tree Commission - Former member.
  •  Bachelor of Arts in Business - Rutgers University.
  •  Master of Business Administration with a major in accounting, Fairleigh   Dickinson University.

Janice Kroposky (D)

  • Eatontown resident for 10 years with husband Dustin and 3 year old son, Jake.
  • Dedicated teacher; voted "Teacher of the Year" at Monmouth Regional High School; 16-year veteran.
  • Elected current Diversity Council President of 75 school districts, Kean University.
  • Adjunct Professor, 4 years, Kean University.
    • Bachelor of Arts, Social Studies and Secondary Education, Bloomsburg University
    • Master of Arts, Holocaust and Genocide Studies, Kean University Salutatorian.
    • Fulbright Scholar, Rutgers University.

Mark Regan (R)*

Regan, 51, is serving his first term on the Eatontown Borough Council. Has been a resident of Eatontown since 2001 and a lifelong resident of Monmouth County.
Is married to Susan and has two children: Mark, 17 and Casey, 15.

Regan is a self employed Graphic Designer & Consultant. He received a BFA degree in Communication Design from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and is a 1978 graduate of St. Rose High School.

As councilman, his duties are: Chairman of the Parks, Recreation & Parking Committee; Member of the: Public Building, Insurance and Tenants Rights Committee  and Fire and Water Committee; Liaison to the: Athletic Advisory Committee, Community Center Advisory Committee; Local Board of Assistance, Recreation Advisory Committee & Youth Committee Adult Advisors.

During his term he has also been: Environmental Committee Liaison (2009 -2010); Board of Health Liaison (2009 -2010).

Regan has served as a member and officer of the following organizations: Eatontown Board of Education, (2007-2008); Eatontown Foundation for Excellence in Education since 2005; Woodmere PTA  and Memorial PTO; Eatontown Baseball, Coach & Assistant Coach; Eatontown Soccer, Coach & Assistant Coach; Eatontown Softball, Assistant Coach; Eatontown CERT Member (Civilian Emergency Response Team); Elks Member, since 1994; Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh, since 2005.

Dennis Connelly (R)*

Connelly is a lifelong resident of Eatontown and the proud father of three children, Amanda, 22, Eric 20 and Shane 12. Connelly is a retired Eatontown Police Officer after serving over 25 years and now is employed as a private security coordinator and restaurant management consultant. 

As a councilman for the past three years, Connelly has served as Police Commissioner, Chairman of Police, Public Lights & Board of Health Committee; Member of the: Finance and Ordinance Committee & Public Works and Welfare Committee; Liaison to the: Economic Development Committee, Emergency Management / Auxiliary Committee and Eatontown Alcohol & Drug Alliance and has served as the past liaison of Tenants Rights Committee and Council President.
