Rep. Rush Holt spoke with residents from Seabrook Village and helped to raise a flag that was flown over the U.S. Capitol Building in honor of lives lost in the 2001 terror attacks.
Rep. Rush Holt visited Seabrook Village retirement community in Tinton Falls on Monday June 6 to speak with residents about issues of national security, the current conflicts in the Middle East and other issues related to the war on terrorism following the death of Osama bin-Laden. He was also able to answer questions posed by the residents concerning Cost of Living Allowance, the closing of Fort Monmouth and the country’s proposed response to a cyber attack.
After the forum, the congressman presented Seabrook with a U.S. flag that has flown over the Capitol Building in honor of those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. Seabrook residents Bert and Audrienne Barry, who lost their son Arthur, and Irene Goldberg, who lost her son-in-law on 9/11, helped Holt raise the flag over the community.
