Citywide Curfew Begins Tonight in Long Branch

Curfew will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Oct. 29, 30 and 31

A city-wide curfew will begin this weekend for all residents who are under 17.

The curfew will run from Monday, Oct. 29 through Wednesday, Oct. 31, Halloween.

All residents under the age of 17 must be off city streets from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. during these dates, because of Mischief Night and Halloween.

Long Branch Public Safety Director Alphonse Muolo has been asked to strictly enforce the curfew by Mayor Adam Schneider.

The Long Branch Council passed a resolution allowing the curfew during its meeting earlier this month.
